Houston Defense First (D-1st) Elite was created for student/athletes as a recruiting tool to reach the next level in their basketball career. D-1st Elite’s vision is to see every player involved with our program recruited to the college level, be it Division I, II, or NAIA. D-1st Elite is a travel team committed to putting our players in the best possible exposure tournaments against the possible competition and in the best possible recruiting situations available. D-1st Elite is a 17U (17 and under) girls/boys basketball organization and is also an affiliate of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
D-1st is also a subordinate on the National AAU’s Group 501©3 tax exemption.
